Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
The short version
- We keep what it takes to make your designs and ship your prints: an anonymous ChatGPT ID, your designs, and, when you order, your email and shipping address.
- We share it only with the companies that help us do that, such as Stripe for payment and Gelato for printing and shipping.
- We don't sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.
- Designs you never order are deleted after 90 days without use. Order records are kept 7 years for tax.
Who we are
Prompt Printing is run by one of the many, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company at 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, United States ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Prompt Printing plugin in ChatGPT and the website at promptprinting.app. Write to support@promptprinting.app with any privacy question.
What we collect
When you design in ChatGPT
- An anonymous ChatGPT ID. ChatGPT gives us an ID for your account that doesn't include your name or email. We use it to keep your designs yours.
- Your designs, including their text and the images placed in them, such as art ChatGPT generated for you.
- The requests ChatGPT makes to our tools, such as "add this text" or "make the title blue". We don't see the rest of your conversation with ChatGPT.
- A rough location hint, such as your country, when ChatGPT sends one. We use it only to tell you when we can't ship to you.
When you order
- Your email address, for order emails and for signing in to your orders page.
- Your name and shipping address, to print the label and to calculate shipping and sales tax.
- Order details: what you ordered, the approved proof, the price, payment status and tracking.
Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you order, we link your anonymous ChatGPT ID to your checkout email. That's how your designs show up on your orders page.

When you visit promptprinting.app
We count visits with Pirsch, a cookieless analytics service. It doesn't store your IP address or set cookies. In the plugin, we count how features are used (for example, "a proof was approved") under a scrambled version of your anonymous ChatGPT ID; no email, address or IP address is sent to Pirsch. The plugin tells you about this the first time you use it, and you can opt out there or later under "Usage analytics" in My designs; once you opt out, nothing about your use of the plugin is sent to Pirsch. Like any website, our servers briefly process your IP address to deliver pages and to limit abuse.
Cookies
We use one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to your orders page for up to 30 days. It's strictly necessary for that page to work. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
How we use it
- to store your designs and show them back to you and to ChatGPT;
- to make proofs and print files, and to print and ship your order;
- to take payment and calculate sales tax;
- to email you about your order and answer support requests;
- to check designs against our content rules when a proof is approved, and to prevent fraud and abuse;
- to understand, in aggregate, how people use Prompt Printing so we can improve it;
- to keep the records the law requires, such as tax records.
We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run Prompt Printing, and only what each needs:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of selling or reorganizing the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
How long we keep it

Your choices
- You can delete any design from ChatGPT by asking Prompt Printing to delete it.
- You can opt out of the plugin's usage analytics in the plugin (see above).
- You can email support@promptprinting.app to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. We'll delete everything except the order records we must keep for tax.
Some states, such as California, give residents specific privacy rights. We honor these requests for everyone. We'll never treat you differently for making one.
Where your data is
We operate in the United States. Our providers may process data in other places where they run their services.
Security
Designs are tied to your anonymous ChatGPT ID and stored under random identifiers, data is encrypted in transit, and access to order details requires signing in by email. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell you if a breach affects your data as the law requires.
Children
You must be 18 or older to order. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
